  • Select textbox at startup

Hi, How do I set the cursor to start in a specific field when I load a form in Form Services? As for now at startup one form has the cursor in the first field and another form has the cursor outside the form, with no to me visible differences between the fields. Both are text(string) datatypes.  Thankful for tips.

  • Re: File attachment placeholder text

Thanks, that's a pity though when you have a created a form in another language and in the middle of everything there is a line in english. Another "file attachment"-question; Is there a way to modify the behaviour of the hint text of a repeating section (ie for attaching multiple files). I would like to show the text ...

  • File attachment placeholder text

Hi, Is there a way to change the placeholder text "Click here to attach file" of the base64 file attachment? All I have found so far is the Screentip Text.

  • Re: Automatically update template parts

So I have narrowed the problem down; As long as the registry key points to a local folder on my computer the custom controls are automatically loaded. I don't need the manual procedure add or remove custom controls . But I still have the impression from material I have read (links above) that it should also be possible to load the custom ...

Can someone just point out how the registry key works? This is a quote from the article linked above: There are a couple of things to note about this, though. First, this path can be only to a folder on your local machine or on a network share. Internet URLs won't work. However, if you want to place your template parts on a Web site, you can ...

  • Automatically update template parts

Hi, As my 60+ forms all contain the section "address block" I have created a template part containing that section, and published it on Sharepoint so everyone can find it and use it. My question is, if I do any changes on the template part, can all the instances of the part be updated automatically? I have studied an example here: ...

  • re: Automatically Populate Fields from a Drop-Down Selection

Nice tutorial, well explained. Does this only work with XML source (I am referring to the getDOM statement) or also with Web Services? My conclusion of this is also that to populate say 10-15 fields this way can only be done by applying these rules in every single field. Or is there a quicker method? /Olle

  • Choose list item to see more info

Hi, I populate a list box with two items from a list on a web service. When I choose item 1 (name) I want to see the rest of the information belonging to that item 1 (adress, age, etc (all in the web service contract)) printed in their corresponding fields. I read this thread, but that is actually more complicated stuff, cascading lists, this ...

  • Share saved work with other developers

Hi, Some questions: 1. I want other developers to be able to see what I have done or if they want to try developing infopath forms. We don't use Sharepoint. If I save my forms and transfer them to my colleagues, they can only open the form in a path/folder named exactly after where I saved the form (e.g. user/documents/infopath). I know ...
