  • SQL Profiler

Lately, I was noticing that my form was pulling ALOT of data across the line when opening a form. I opened SQL Profiler to see what was going on. I found that the form is pulling a single record from the main table but pulls all records from the related tables.  The form only shows the related records so I don't understand why its ...

Patrick, Thanks for the information.  We have run a few scenarios and this is what we found. Anyone can edit the form but the catch seems to be that, the computer that ran the stored procedure originally, is the computer that has to run the submit. On top of that, if it is submitted from a different pc that ...

  • Re: Combine xml data

I'm very confident that webservices will fix this issue that we are experiencing, and we are planning on implementing soon. Until then I have these forms that did not submit.  Here is the scenario: The user opens a new form and fills in 4 of the required fields, and then through code the form submits to SQL, runs a stored ...

  • Combine xml data

I have a situation (fairly long explaination) where I need to pull many values from one form onto another. The first form (a) is sparsly populated, the second is fully populated. To save time having to retype entries from form B into form A I was hoping there would be an automated solution. I briefly looked into merging, turned it ...

  • SQL - InfoPath "Row Version Columns"

Is there an easy way remove the timestamp field from the data connection? we are having problems with submits. This seems to be an issues when another application edits the record then infopath tries to submit again later. Is adding another timestamp field in the database a possible solution? That way infopath and the other application can have ...

  • Re: Stored Procedure Code

The original form is not fully trusted and runs from the SharePoint site which exists within the intranet. The SharePoint site and the SQL DB are running on the same box. What I am attempting to do is add some extended functionality to the form, and to do that I'm making the form fully trusted where the user would install it via msi to their ...

Any ideas why the code below only works when the form is NOT fully trusted?   var conn = new ActiveXObject("ADODB.Connection"); conn.ConnectionString = XDocument.QueryAdapter.Connection; conn.ConnectionTimeout = XDocument.QueryAdapter.Timeout; try {     conn.Open();     conn.Execute('execute ...

  • Re: Auto-Populate Rules vs Code

Done. I found a different post that helped me put the value into the correct row of the repeating table. I posted the completed code below for anyone else.   function msoxd__SR_Materials_cs2ID_attr::OnAfterChange(eventObj) { // Write code here to restore the global state.       if ...

  • Re: Auto-Populate Rules vs Code

Ok, I'm now able to get the value from the secondary data source successfully and display it as an alert. Is there a way to get a reference to the current repeating row that fired the event so I can populate the correct field. I can only seem to populate the entry in the first row of the repeating table. This code is being run using an ...
