Thank you for the responses. Adding an optional section for a repeating datatype was an issue. But once I dragged the repeating section(created separately) into the optional section, it seemed to work. Later I settled for the approach suggested by PD, adding the repeating section and unchecking the type from tools > default Values. Thank you ...

I'm a newbie to Infopath and have been trying various ways to hide a repeating section when the form loads initially? When the user clicks the Insert link then the section should be added.How can I do that? I have tred the conditional logic but that doesn't seem to help.
