Just recently I've started finding that the service is returning outdated data in some cases. I have a few different corporate SharePoint servers I can use and I'm finding that some seem current while others don't. Does anyone have ... It's only executed once in code behind. InfoPath is still doing some sort of "pre-execute validation check" even ... Posted to SQL Database Integration (Forum) by Greg S on 12-15-2008 Inserting into IDENTITY columns via stored procedure causes IDENTITY to increment at least twice More of an FYI, but it's an interesting idiosyncrasy. If you have a data connection that inserts records into a SQL table using a stored procedure, and that table uses a field with an IDENTITY (i.e. one that auto-increments), then you might notice that the table skips IDENTITY values (e.g. 1, 3, 5, 6,7, 9 etc.). After looking at ... Posted to SQL Database Integration (Forum) by Greg S on 12-09-2008 Re: Xpath statement referencing 2 different data sources Thank you! I didn't know about get-DOM() -- and so easy to avoid notice when I'm used to using GetDOM("xx"). Works like a charm. Posted to General (Forum) by Greg S on 12-07-2008 Re: Xpath statement referencing 2 different data sources
Generally you should be able to accomplish it with something like this: xdXDocument:GetDOM("Data connection 1")/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/dfs:myRecord[@ID = xdXDocument:GetDOM("Data connection 2")/path/to/other/field]/@Title
I should add one other caveat, the 2nd data connection ... Posted to General (Forum) by Greg S on 12-06-2008 Xpath statement referencing 2 different data sources Without doing code behind (i.e. just using standard InfoPath rules), is it possible to set a field's value based on an Xpath expression where that Xpath expression contains a reference to another field? For example this xpath statement works for setting a field's value in a rule, but the "where" clause is hard-coded to ... Posted to General (Forum) by Greg S on 12-05-2008 Stored procedure with "union" not populating secondary data source. Why doesn't InfoPath load data from a stored procedure that uses a UNION query? Ex: if the stored procedure is: select myColumn from table1 the data source populates just fine. But if the stored procedure is: select myColumn from table1 union select myColumn from table1 the data source is not populated. And yes, that ... I went back to my app and the very code I posted above is now working. No clue what's different from last week. Thanks for the response. Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Greg S on 12-02-2008 Security difference between InfoPath 2007 and 2003 with code behind I'm upgrading a form from InfoPath 2003 to 2007 and adding new functionality. The form uses C# code behind, and I'm currently using VS 2008. The form has to run with Domain security. It cannot run with Full Trust When pulling values from datasources in 2003, this worked code worked ...
