Thank you!  Your instructions work, and yes, it is a tough design.  I will do it the cludgey way for now and learn about using another list to create cascading dropdowns with XPath filters for our next iteration.  Thank you so much for your guidance, it has helped tremendously. Cheers!  

Thank you for helping. I've pared it down to just the essentials. - please aim for the Business Capabilities area.  Choice 2 depends on choice 1.  Choice 3 depends on choice 2 but if any changes are made, can't seem to "re-hide" choice 3 field.  Thanks again :)
