If the user improperly closes InfoPath the write lock for the form he has open is not removed on the server. When the form is re-opened the user gets an error stating that someone has the form open. This is all standard stuff and the lock usually ... Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by djay on 06-03-2009 XPATH conditional in C# Is there a way to run an XPATH query directly from managed code? So I want to be able to run "count(my:RepGroup1)" and return a number. Or "my:field1 = 'Include'" and get a bool back. I know I can do any of this using the API, but I want to use XPATH specifically. I am pulling an XPATH conditional from an ... I am following the walkthrough at http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa945289.aspx exactly. When I go to try to debug I get 6 errors that look like ... Posted to Code (Forum) by djay on 03-22-2008 Re: Independant forms? Thanks for the reply Pat, but that won't work. When I update the template I will save it to the SharePoint server as a different name. This is so that, if it is signed, the form will open properly with the old template (see this thread for why). So the form will be opened from a template that doesn't know it is ... Posted to General (Forum) by djay on 02-01-2008 Re: Independant forms? I'm working on implementing Mary's system. But I want to automaticly detect (when a form opens) if it is using the latest template or not. And if it is using an old template and it is not signed it should automaticly upgrade... But I am stuck just trying to find what the latest template on the SharePoint server is. The only ... So I would have: ...from "dbo"."LaborSummary" as "LaborSummary" where "SA1" = "whatever"} as "LaborSummary" append... I have two forms, one where this behavior appears, one which doesn't. So when I get some time (hehe, yea right) I will dive into this and figure out what is going on. No matter of I missed something, or this is a bug, this is some really bad ... Posted to Code (Forum) by djay on 01-23-2008 Re: Inserting Optional Section ExecuteAction doesn't work very well. It has a lot of bugs. I find it easier to just add the xml directly to the data source. Setup a DOM with the data from sampledata.xml to use as your pure source of xml like this: (you will need to modify the namespace line for your form) (in C#) SampleDOM = ... Posted to Code (Forum) by djay on 01-23-2008 Opening signed form with new template Ok, one more problem. And this is a doozy. I pray someone can help me as this is a show stopper for me. I have tried every which way around this and I am at a dead end. Is this an InfoPath bug? I have a form that has been signed (entire form). Since signing I have changed the template and modified the data ... Posted to Code (Forum) by djay on 01-11-2008 Submiting with Validation Errors I use the InfoPath validation system. I also use Submit to save the form on a SharePoint server. The problem is that I want to be able to save an incomplete form, even ones with validation errors. But submit doesn't allow that. I can add a button that clears all the errors, but I would much rather just use the Submit button from ...
