I have a infopath library with various position forms. A manager will edit a form for a position, use a dropdown to select a person, attach a Word resume, and hit submit. This form has multiple data connections and field rules which is why its in infopath. After submission, the form needs to submit the data to a new library or a ... First time I've ever used it - way easier than I thought. Please ignore. :) Posted to Data Connections (Forum) by Gatchaman on 01-28-2016 Counting the number of selections available in a filter I have a data connection to a SP list of over a thousand items. I'm filtering it down with about 5 filters in a dropdown select box. My client has asked how many items are in the dropdown selection. Posted to Data Connections (Forum) by Gatchaman on 01-28-2016 Re: Filtering: What am I doing wrong? Unique selection needed. Just wanted to update this thread in case anyone is looking for a solution to this. Seems there is a bug in infopath for this filter. If you put in 'equals' it will work. It will only show what was already selected. But if you put in 'not equal' it will not work, it will still show items in the dropdown that were already ... For now I've put a workflow in place that sets a 'Selected' field in the data list and I'm filtering off that. I'll have to play with this more tomorrow, again thanks for your help. Unique selection needed. Yes. I have Name (going to the data list, dataFields: d:SharePointListItem_RW:Name) NotEquals Name (going to data connection to the current list, dataFields: d:SharePointListItem_RW:Name) I edited my response above to show a little more my process in doing this. Thanks for you help in looking into this! Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Gatchaman on 09-21-2015 Re: Filtering: What am I doing wrong? Unique selection needed. I can't, its on a corporate internal network not connected to the net. :( I tried it on a test list as well with the same issue, only takes a minute to set it up. Maybe I can back up and you could look at my process to see if I have something wrong this way? List 1: Data - add dummy data, Joe, Lisa, Frank, Ted List 2: Infopath ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Gatchaman on 09-21-2015 Re: Filtering: What am I doing wrong? Unique selection needed. I had a typo in my expression - I cant do a copy/paste as I'm using a separate computer - anyway. I used: not(xdXDocument:GetDOM("Infopath Main")/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:SharePointListItem_RW[d:Title = current()]) This is returning all of the values like the Name = Name does. Can this be switched to ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Gatchaman on 09-21-2015 Re: Filtering: What am I doing wrong? Unique selection needed.
