  • Re: MSI / Regform / VS studio version problem

Karsten, You solved my dilemma! The .config file approach works in two respects; one, for letting me specify how the regform utility's working and, two, how the client's machine is configured as well. Problem solved. Thanks so much for your help and very prompt reply. Skully

  • MSI / Regform / VS studio version problem

Hello, I'm having a hard time tailoring some of my managed code Infopath forms. I want to produce some with VS 2005 and deploy on .NET 2.0 and others with VS 2003 and deploy on .NET 1.1. I'm having no problem deploying with 2.0, but I'm having trouble creating MSI's targeting 1.1 Here's what I'm trying: 1. I create a solution within VS 03 and get ...

  • Re: custom .dll error

Hello Anders. Sorry for the tardy reply. I created all of the MSIs via Regform.exe, not directly in VS.NET. Also, I'm certain that I'm using the correct version of Regform -- the one that deals with 2.0 managed code, not 1.1. At this point, I've tested the MSIs on a couple of machines and am getting mixed results. It all works on one machine ...

  • custom .dll error

Hi, I'm having a problem deploying a fully trusted form with managed code via an msi package. Here's the scenario. I've created a custom .dll in vs 2005 to hold code common to all of my managed code infopath forms. In the form code specific to the infopath projects, I reference this custom .dll, making sure to include ''local copy'' in the specs. ...

  • Re: InternetGetCookie managed Code error

Hi Patrick (and others), I got it to work -- finally. It turns out that the managed code segment DOES run correctly when I publish as a fully-trusted form that's installed via an MSI. I guess it just wasn't allowed to run when VisualStudio 2005 was debugging or previewing the form's code, even when I had the form set to ''Full trust.'' In any ...

  • Re: InternetGetCookie managed Code error

Hi Patrick, Thanks for the quick reply. Yep, it's already under full trust, so I'll have to re-read chapter 8 (I'm a big fan of your book -- definitely one of the best out there, especially for Web services freaks like me). OK. I'll keep you posted if this approach works. Basically, I MUST use cookies for this project, so piggy-backing on IE's ...

  • InternetGetCookie managed Code error

Hello all, I've been trying to create a way to piggyback off of IE's cookie collection within Infopath managed code projects. I have several web service calls in the infopath form's code that require an authentication cookie. Rather than hard-coding the cookie or creating a winform to grab a username/password pair and creating a webrequest, I ...

  • Re: Date and Time

Sakieboy, could you post the VB.NET code you refered to above? It looks like a fix I'd like to try. Thanks!
