  • Re: Need some guidance

Patrick - Thank you for the information. Unfortunately, we cannot mandate the use of SharePoint, web services or even a domain for what we're wanting to do with InfoPath; we must develop this solution without the requirement for the end-user to purchase any additional 3rd party solutions. In other words, ''we must make do with what they have''. ...

  • Re: open a form from anohter form and export the opene

Try adding a default wait value in between your XDocuments.Open call and the View.Export. The XDocument probably hasn't completed the transform of the page yet. Also, there maybe a property or method you can use that tells you the 'state' of a loading/loaded document, but you'll have to look for it, because I'm not 100% positive that InfoPath ...

  • Re: Alternative to InfoPath !

Look at Adobe or OpenOffice. Both have support groups and whatnot from where you can request further information/help. D.

Unforunately, even using a secondary data source seems to yield either a message box prompting the user to give access to the form, or I have to Fully Trust and register the form (unless I'm outright ''doing it wrong'' - which I don't believe I am). Other ideas? D.

  • Re: Add a password onto a checkbox

Justine - This requires some code behind your form ... Firstly, I would like to make a suggestion, that you use a Button over a CheckBox, since a button makes more sense for what you're intending. In the click event of that Button you'll need to: 1. create a connection to your access DB; possibly create a secondary data source to your DB ...

  • Re: Close the form on the onload event

Well, this will ''close'' the InfoPath form, however, it will leave the IDE open ... in the load event, just set the return status to 'false' e.ReturnStatus = false This will cause the load event to fail, and your form will cease to open. D.

  • Re: Need some guidance

I am reading from a system registry hive to get a directory source where we'll save the resultant InfoPath data files. ... Although your comment has given me an idea, if I use a secondary xml data source to pass that information along from our primary application to InfoPath, perhaps I can avoid having to have a fully trusted form? D.

  • Need some guidance

I am attempting to develop forms a solution using InfoPath whereby I would need to be able to save off a copy of the original XML data created by the process of filling out a form, and a copy of the original form that created that data. At a later date, the user would need the ability to reopen that original form and data; possible on another ...
