Your posts have been very helpful... but it looks like I can't escape working out the code to get this to submit properly. I'll keep at it an let you know ... Since this was posted, I think I've gotten around the issue, although I'd still like to know what needs to be done for deployment permissions. (I used one of the built in webservices... UpdateListItems.. and everything is working fine.) I can only conclude it must have something to do with how I setup ... I've got my Issues list form looking better now.... but I was reading your post to Christoph and it looks like I'm stuck in the same boat. I've got fields that need to have static dropdown lists and others I'd like to pull from an xml list of users... so, if I'm understanding this ... I've been working on updating a helpdesk issues list with infopath and this has helped me a lot. One question about this design though... Is it possible to not have the list display on the form? How about changing the displayed field names on the form without goofing up the functionality? ... My Web method parameters were not correct...now I think I'm on the right track. dmhollis Posted to Web Services (Forum) by dmhollis on 03-27-2006 Re: WebService SQL connection problems I got past my connection error.... I included an Identity impersonate=''true'' tag in the web service web.config file and now it submits. However, I'm still not getting any data updated in my database. Now I seem to need some work on my dataset. Can I submit the entire form (as one of the options suggests?) I have tried submitting my fields as ...
