Hi Patrick In addition to my previous post, I wanted to add this. Teacher logs in ,kids go and access the sharepoint portal (typing url in the browser) from a teacher workstation and I want the login details of the kids to be populated from the AD in the form instead of teachers. Hi Jim Thanks for your response. From your reply it looks like I need windows 2000 or windows 2003 server. I was trying to install on windows XP SP2 with IIS 5.1 and test it before going ahead and deploying it on the server. Let me do as suggested by you and give you feedback Thanks Devi

Hi Patrick Thanks for your response I installed IIS V5.1 and I am using windowsXP SP1.2. please let me know if you would recommend windows server 2000 or windows 2003 server

I installed IIS first and then ADService. It is saying it is successfuly installed. when I give the URL in the browser it gives the message <%@ WebService Language=''c#'' Codebehind=''AdUserInfo.asmx.cs'' Class=''ADService.AdUserInfo'' %> and if I am trying to test with Infopath, after selecting the webservice and trying to give the URL, ...
