not sure if its browser or form filler.  Access to the site via the browser, but when you click add new or edit existing, it pops the form up - i dont really know if its that instance is browser or filler - i would assume filler.  I put the same message in the Screen Tip and the Dialog box, and select "show screentip and dialiog box ...

Thanks Hilary, did you mean "field is NOT blank"?  I tried this, but it didn't keep me from submitting a test submission without data in the field that SHOULD have been a "required" field by the rule.  Was hopeing it would stop the user from submitting if the field was blank.

I have a form working off sharepoint 2010 (i am using office 2010 as well).  I have a section of the form that is only visible when you select check box "yes".  I would like the fields that reside in this conditional section to be REQUIRED when that same check box = "yes" as my users are checking "yes", but ...
