  • Re: Updating/adding values to SP Form Library column

Never mind, I found an answer myself:) Updating Document or Form Library the key is FileRef field which also has to correspond with ID field of that row. quote:Originally posted by puziuss I was reading a topic posted awhile ago in this forum about adding or updating field values in SP list ...

  • Updating/adding values to SP Form Library column

I was reading a topic posted awhile ago in this forum about adding or updating field values in SP list (http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1057). I tried and had no problems getting the suggested code working with custom list. Though, my goal is to update Form library columns in SP. So far I couldn't find a way of doing that. Is ...

  • Re: Is XML data editable in SharePoint?

Thank you Anders for your response. I needed somebody to tell me that data displayed in SharePoint are always read-only and I am not just unaware of some SharePoint features. Yes, I've tried setting data view status field's read-only property to false in properties.xfp but that gave me an error even though it looked that I was able to change the ...

  • Is XML data editable in SharePoint?

Hi, does any body know if there is an easy way (or any way) to edit XML document directly from SharePoint web site? Let me explain my situation to give you a better idea of what my issue is. I have an InfoPath form (PTO request) that users fill out and submit to a SharePoint Form library. Most of the form functionality is implemented using ...

  • Re: accessing repeating table node

That's right, thanks Matt. The only thing is that the main purpose of my ''workaround'' was to figure out how I could get an index of a repeating table node (or row) where exactly the change event occured. Indeed, I don't need all subtotals re-calculated every time when only one field's value changes. I only need a subtotal for that particular row ...

  • Re: repeating table calculations

Thank you Greg but nope, that does not work at all, not even for the first row. When I made your suggested changes I got an error ''Object reference not set to an instance of an object'' and a warning in VS I had mentioned before. Anyway, what do you think about this: http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=962 quote:Originally ...

  • Re: accessing repeating table node

I found an answer to myself:) If somebody finds it helpful here is my code that calculates subtotals for each row of a repeating table: Dim numRows As Integer = _ thisXDocument.DOM.selectNodes(''//my:repeatingTable'').length() Dim i As Integer For i = 1 To numRows Dim field1 As Double = ...

  • Re: accessing repeating table node

Hi I've tried to apply your method to solve my problem (see: http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1001' target='_blank' title='>http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1001'>http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1001). It's not exactly what I needed to do but just wanted to see how I can access ...

  • Re: repeating table calculations

Yes, I have tried that and many other possible ways of referencing table fields. Only ''//my:fieldX'' works for the first row at least nothing else does. Thanks for any suggestions! quote:Originally posted by franck Hi, Have you just tried: ''my:fieldX'' inside your SelectSingleNode? Regards, Franck Dauché

  • repeating table calculations

I am trying to calculate subtotals for each row in the repeating table but I can get it to work only for the first row! I need to do calculations using managed code because there is some looping etc. involved. Here is a simplified example of my code (in VB.Net): Public Sub field1_OnAfterChange(ByVal e As DataDOMEvent) Dim field1 As Double = ...
