I think the difference is maybe that I am basing my form on a sql database (the main connection is to sql)- it seems to be more limiting.

i need to create a simple form to gather data from many sources into a SQL db. I need the user to select their store no. from as ddlb. THe ddlb is poplulated from the 'store' table on the db. Then i need the user to complete any number of rows in a 'detail' section below, one field of which is store no. which would be populated from the ddlb ...
