InfoPath Dev

Hi Gurus, I have 10000 records in my sharepoint list. I am trying to access this list as a secordary connection into an infopath form. But getting threshold error. If the threshold is increased will it affect server performance to while reading the list from infopath form? will it consume network resources adversly?  thanks

Hi Gurus,  I am using MS Access database for my infopath for as back end. I am successful to create a form for new record using submit button.
