 I would like to add another wrinkle to this.  Lets say I set the default value for my Infopath dropdown field to match the same value for an item in the list.  When I load the page, if the data is being sent, I should see the list filtered by the default value correct?  However, this is not happening.  I still get nothing ...

Hey matt.  When the page loads in the above scenario, do you get all items in the list by default or NO items by default.  I am able to use the InfoPath form web part to filter values but would like to "see all" when the page loads.  I tried unchecking the box to "Send data to connected Web Parts when page ...

 Just a quick follow up.  It appears as though data is being sent to the web part automatically when the page loads even though the option to do so is not checked.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Jon
