I searched and found that there was a workound - if the Outlook reading pane is enabled, this should work. Strange ... Posted to General (Forum) by york31 on 05-16-2014 How to avoid saving fields which are used as variables Hi, I am running some very complex customized forms. I realized I am using many (in some cases most) of the fields as software variables for manipulating the form (e.g. dynamic links, temporary storage,...). Now, every field is represented in the end by a Sharepoint column, meaning that my lists are overpacked with meaningless columns and ... Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by york31 on 04-27-2014 Re: Submit existing form fields to a sharepoint list Hi Don, I have not set any CAML, I just asked advice on how to perform what I thought a simple task. The form you sent me is customized to a specic site and I could not do much with it. If you can explain or point me to an article which explains how to publish to another list I would be much obliged. If not.. you did give it a try and I thank ... Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by york31 on 04-27-2014 Re: Submit existing form fields to a sharepoint list Hi, No. That's not what I am after. No repeating tables. I have a list (say "Members") with its customized form. What I want to achieve is the following: Whenever I update (save) data using this "Members" form, I want a new record to be written to a DIFFERENT list (say "History") with data identical to the ... Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by york31 on 04-09-2014 Re: Submit existing form fields to a sharepoint list Hi Don, I cannot run the form on my side, so I am trying to understand the logic. It seems to me that the "Select" field is for getting the ID of an existing record. In my case I ALWAYS want to create a new record so I guess it is not relevant. I assume the "Submit New" button in your example is the one I need to use, ... Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by york31 on 04-08-2014 Re: Views and create new form with a different view - Help please Hi, I am not sure I got the whole story, but if you are interested in passing parameters to a new form without writing code, here is a link which did the trick for me. http://lyndzhang.wordpress.com/2013/07/22/pass-query-string-to-a-sharepoint-lists-add-new-item-form-that-was-customized-by-infopath-2010/ Hope it helps. Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by york31 on 04-03-2014 Re: Submit existing form fields to a sharepoint list Thanks Don, but the form you sent seems to be tied up to your specific server. I am getting the attached error message. I tried to use 'manage data connections" to change the address to my lists.asmx, but it does not help. Any idea how to work around it? Or just send me (or direct me) to an explanation of what the process ... Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by york31 on 04-03-2014 Re: Submit existing form fields to a sharepoint list OK. There are two separate custom sharepoint lists "Members" and "History", both having similar fields - "Name" and "Age". Find attached the infopath form for the "Members" I want every change in a the "Members" list (Creating a new record or updating an existing one), to be ... Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by york31 on 04-01-2014 Re: Submit existing form fields to a sharepoint list I am not sure I follow. I do not want to edit or query anything. I just want to cause two existing fields in my list/form to be written to another list. That is all...
