I am able to lookup the price for one line item, but when I try and do a second line item, I select my product and it returns the same price as the first line item. It's like during the second line item selection it doesn't go through the rules again. I would think that every time someone uses the drop-down ... Choose a name (for example, ''Lookup''). Add an action to query a data connection and specify your data connection. To do filtering, you'll want to look at adding a second action to set the field based on an xpath filtering of the data that ... Can you provide the code you are using that isn't working (or the rule) and some description of the schema? Thanks Patrick Halstead [InfoPath ... Posted to General (Forum) by sainzmichael on 05-16-2005 SQL version of Example I'm trying to use the ''Populating Table Row After Selection'' but instead using SQL rather then just static files. As I understand it, how this is done is by rules. I believe I have duplicated the rules, but I can't seem to get the expression or text boxes (I have tried both) to update. This is an order form and I have a drop-down list with ... Posted to General (Forum) by sainzmichael on 05-12-2005 round() For this function, is there a way to set where it rounds to? Like I have Unit that is $28.50 and I want to apply a Discount to it of .85 to make it 24.225. I want to round to the nearest hundredth. How would I accomplish this? Posted to General (Forum) by sainzmichael on 04-29-2005 To Decimal, or not to Decimal... Hey all, Have another issue regarding data types and SQL server. I am getting validation errors when my XPATH expression is computed. I have a field called Price and a field called Discount, and one more called Total. In SQL they are all the Money data type. When I try and run the form and put in values, I get the errors as said above. I read ... Posted to General (Forum) by sainzmichael on 04-27-2005 Re: Repeating Tables and Expressions... Nevermind, I have figured it out. A mistake on my part. Posted to General (Forum) by sainzmichael on 04-27-2005 Re: Repeating Tables and Expressions... Shiva, That is exactly what I needed. Now since this form is connected to a database, my values are not posted until I hit submit. How do I do a calculation in the form with values that are not submitted to the database yet? When I follow your instructions and use SUM and bind that to a field, the field where SUM is bound is zero and i'm guessing ... Posted to General (Forum) by sainzmichael on 04-27-2005 Re: Repeating Tables and Expressions... Hey Pat, I'm trying to create just a normal order sheet with fields for price, discount and line total in a repeated table. At the bottom of the table, I would like a grand total of all the lines together. The issue is when I try to calculate a grand total, there may be 1 line item, there may be 10 line items. How do I tell Infopath to figure out ... Posted to General (Forum) by sainzmichael on 04-26-2005 Repeating Tables and Expressions... Hey all...first time posting here. Once I saw all the good information here, thought I would try it out ;) I have made a order form with a repeating table for line items, very similar to the Invoicing sample. Problem is, I am binding all the textboxes and stuff to SQL. I guess that isn't the real problem here. The real problem is form ...
