  • Re: Browser Forms Dropdown Box issue

Yeah, I thought it was weird too. I did try the postback setting (on both the fields that cause the change and the fields being cascaded down to), but it didn't change the behavior. The only thing I can think is since the whole thing is triggered by the change of the dropdown, and 4 of the fields cascaded down to are dropdown boxes, that some ...

  • Re: Browser Forms Dropdown Box issue

Well, in case anyone stumbles upon this because they are having the same issue, what I figured out (or guessed would probably be more accurate) is the reason the dropdown worked if I tripped the error is because that error message field is hidden via a rule unless the errored field is set to true, so that made me think that forces the ...

  • Browser Forms Dropdown Box issue

Ok, I’m hoping someone can help me here or offer some insight, or creative idea on what to do. Everyone knows not to get involved in a land war in Asia, but only slightly less well known is this – never go in against a browser form, when your job is on the line!! *sigh* it’s not that serious and I hope everyone will forgive me my pun/Princess ...

  • Re: InfoPath xml update from SharePoint Workflow

re: your edit - that's correct. the xml on the file in the screen shot was saved before I had added field. So it will not get it until I open the form, then save it again. Is there a way to achieve this programmatically (powershell, c# workflow, etc) that you know of?

  • Re: InfoPath xml update from SharePoint Workflow

Thank you for your quick reply! Hmm, that did not seem to work for me (SharePoint 2010, explorer view for the library in question, ctrl-a, ctrl-c to local folder). I also tried grabbing one, copying it to the folder, and copying the folder version back to the library, but the property is still empty (screen shot attached). I tried from both a ...

  • InfoPath xml update from SharePoint Workflow

Ok, I may be getting some terminology here wrong, so please bare with me. I have a form that has been in use for several years around the office. It is an infopath browser form, that integrates into our SharePoint 2010 environment. It's mainly a sign off form, but as management has requested to track new things, I've added new fields ...

  • Prevent any formatting on textbox

I'm not sure if this is even possible, but I figured I'd ask and see if anyone has a solution for this.I have a form, that I've hooked in via code to search an SQL Table for a product that we use on-site. This SQL table is from a vendor, so I cannot modify that structure without risk of breaking something in the program that utilizes ...

  • Re: Adding checkbox into repeating table programmatically (C#)

Nice, that was it. There was nothing in the checked/unchecked values on the control, and that was what was causing the issue. I'm not sure how it came to be that there was no value in there, but as soon as I filled those dropboxes in, the code now works. Thank you Hilary!

  • Re: Adding checkbox into repeating table programmatically (C#)

Sorry - tried updating the post - the code stripped out some locations, and the innerxml I show also got stripped, and my edits weren't fixing it and I didn't want to keep editing the post unsuccessfully. I put the code in the attached txt file, as well as the innerxml example. Thank you again for any help you may have to offer.

  • Adding checkbox into repeating table programmatically (C#)

Hey Everyone, I have a form with a button that I want use to programmatically retrieve sql data, fill it into a sqldatareader object, which I use to populate a stringbuilder string, to finally append as a child to a repeating table element in infopath. The repeating table has five fields in the schema, four of which are text, and one of which ...
