I figured this one out myself. The key is the XmlEventArgs e. First, a "Delete" event fires, then a "ValueChanged" event fires. I now act on the "ValueChanged" event and ignore the "Delete" event.

How would you take a text field containing the string "jim;robert;charlie;david;frank;" and place each substring delimited by the semi-colon into its own row in a repeating table? The repeating table would then contain 5 rows: jim robert charlie david frank Thank you.
