  • Re: Need help with how to design a form/workflow

What you need to do is create a SharePoint list with all of that data that you showed in the screenshot. Then you add a data connection and pull in those fields you need. Then you can rules that filter by the checkboxes on the screen and add the email address to a text field. Then that submit button would add that to the email chain. This way, ...

I don't use any workflows technically. I just have the tasks change status (a text box value gets updated) and it just looks like there is this workflow happening. I would email Laura (wonderlaura.com) and see if she can help you. She is great and does respond to people.

  • Re: Creating a 'summary' view to only display fields that have been filled in

Hmmm...have you tried to put them into categories and then in tables? So that things are grouped? Can you explain why you have so many checkboxes?

  • Re: Conditional Actions Based on Active View

Add the conditional statements to the Form Load section. It is in the Ribbon under the Data tab. http://benmcmann.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/figure3.png?w=300&h=126 <-- screenshot to show you where it is. You can have really elaborate conditional statements. It is super easy. :-)

You could create a duplicate fields and those fields have conditional statements that say "if fieldx is not blank, set fielda value to fieldx" and a statement that says to hide it if blank. FieldX is the original field and fieldA is the new field. So basically you are pulling in the information IF something is there and if not, the field ...

  • Re: Need help with how to design a form/workflow

I am so glad I can help! I know how frustrating these forms can be. First question, in SP, how do you have the SharePoint Form Library Setting set up for the library on how the form opens? It should say browser and if not, change it to browser. Here is instructions if you need that - ...

Her process would work with just adding that "dynamic" factor to it. I took her form and created a way to have an optional extra process' according to what the user chose. So in the start of the form, the user could have a drop down of the services. For instance, the dropdown could be: Time Off, Supplies, Computer Issue. ...

  • Re: editing a sharepoint 2013 list with Infopath 2010

The customize form is only a SP form - not a true InfoPath form. If you published a form from IP2010 into SP 2013, then you have to open that form in IP2010 again to make changes. The customize button is not connected to this form. It is kinda confusing why that created 2 ways of doing forms AND they have different options and fields that ...

  • Re: Moving Completed InfoPath Forms Out of View or Library

This is really just a simple Filter on a View. Find a column that is unique to all completed items and just filter that view. Then on the main view - filter those completed OUT.

  • Re: Having subject line in email contain information from text fields

Jaxkookie's answer is correct and would work. Basically, you would add a rule on the Yes/No field. The Action would be: Condition: If answer = "Yes" Then set "Impair" value to "Impairment". This is setting a brand new text box to that value. Then you add that field into your Subject line. I called ...
