I think you can disable other checkboxes if one of them is checked. Please follow below steps to put conditional format for checkbox.
1) Select ‘The Expression’ from first drop down.
2) Use the below condition in second text box.
count(current()/preceding-sibling::my:group1/my:field1[. = ...
