Hi, I have been researching the idea of using an InfoPath form to update a SharePoint list. I have come across numerous posts that detail the procedure but none that address the issue of updating a table with lookup fields. Matt Faus seems to have answered the question in this post (his second response) but it is pretty old. Is this still true?

I found a post (buried on the 13th search results page) that gave me some good tips on how to do what I wanted. Now if I could only figure out how to include a Balance Due column I would be all set.

How do you use a repeating table to automatically display a set number of rows? Our projects have between one to six invoices.  I was able to accomplish what I wanted by creating a hidden control that stored the ID value. My lookup values now call the ID value of the hidden control saving several steps in the formula. The form loads much faster now.

 I ended up using a Nintex Workflow with an Update XML action to write the value I wanted into the form.

 OK, that method was a dead end, but I got closer to what I wanted to do by using a REST connection instead. I used the ListData.svc to call up the document set properties. Now I have access to the ID being used for each document set and can pair it up with the document set name.  But I still need to get the URL of the document set ...
