 I did the work and put in a rule after the query for each different item.  It took a while, but apparently this is the only way to resolve that.   I think this is a major flaw in IP.  What is the point of having rules on fields if they don't work anytime the condition is met?

That makes sense.  Do you think you'd have to do a rule for each field or is there a way you could write one rule to have it check all the boxes?  This could definitely work, but it would be a bit of a pain to have to write all those rules.  I guess it's just a one shot though.

I've got a form with rules on the fields.  For example, if a checkbox is marked true, a value should be assigned to a particular text box.  If I query the form, the data populates but the rule doesn't apply.  If I uncheck and re-check the box then the rule applies.  Any idea how I can get those rules to automatically ...

As usual, I figured this out after posting.  Here's what you need to do:  1. Use an expression box 2. Go into the properties 3. On the Display tab, remove the check from Wrap Tex 4. On the Size tab, remove the value from Width 5. Click Apply and OK and you'll be good to g.

Concat is useless.  I can't format the text in there with line breaks and lots of punctuation.  I really need this thing to be able to just copy/paste.  Heck, if I could have it auto-size the fields taht would be fine as well.

Brilliant, but it didn't quite work.  What I figured out is that I needed to use an expression.  It ended up being: ../@INVOICE_DETAIL = "CPF" or ../@INVOICE_DETAIL = "APF" or ../@INVOICE_DETAIL = "HRB Simple"  That seemed to make it check each variable and treat the whole line as one validation.

I've got one field in my form called INVOICE_AMT.  I'm trying to require a non-zero value in that field.  There are 2 other fields that this is conditioned upon:  INVOICE_DETAIL and DNP.  Here's how it should work. If anyone finds this in search of an answer, I figured it out.   I had to create a repeating section and populate it with data boxes.  That repeating section needed to be conditioned to hide if the criteria didn't match.
