  • Re: Have a sharepoint list show in 2 drop down list boxes on infopath form

On Sharepoint / Infopath 2007 you cannot have cascading dropdowns with filters on web enabled forms.  I have tried a couple different connections but the one I wanted to use was connecting to a sharepoint list that has the data in it.

Thank you.  Although your link didn't work I was able to search and find what I needed on the site for cascading dropdowns.  The problem I have is that infopath tells me this will not work in a browser enabled form.  Is there any other option since I need this form to be browser based. thanks.

  • Re: Active Directory not working

I do not see anything for DBXL in the application and services.  I have had the ADWS for years, but did try the DBXL a couple years ago on a trial and found I didn't need to use it.  I need to get this fixed as all my forms are erroring out when using the ADWS data connection in the form.  How can I fix this?

  • Re: Infopath contacted a data source but failed to receive data.

I actually went back into the data connection and set the searchtype to exact since I knew exactly what I was doing with this data connection.  That seemed to fix the problem. What I don't understand is why I had to do it on this one when I've used this FindUsersbyName function on many other forms without having to set the search ...

  • Infopath contacted a data source but failed to receive data.

Using the QdabraAD I am creating a new form where I have a name box and need to generate the email of the name into another field.  I have done this on multiple forms before so not sure why this error: The query cannot be run for the following DataObject: FindUsersByName InfoPath cannot run the specified query. The SOAP response indicates ...

  • Re: New version of form created new columns in Sharepoint list

content types are created when publishing the infopath form to the sharepoint site.  I have always done it this way. As you can see in the example I uploaded.  I had revisioned this form a couple times.  However, when I revisioned up to version 5 it created almost all new columns in the site content.  And nothing was changed ...
