I am have an similar issue. I did try to do the self create certificate, but I get the following response; A self-signed certificate will only allow InfoPath to update e-mailed form.  If you need an authenticated code signing certificate for fully trusted form, contact a certification authority or network admin.

This may work in 2007 but it doesn't work in 2010.  I have tryed everthing to print the shading but it just won't work.
