Thanks for the reply, i realize now that my screenshot was misleading, however i get the same error with the attached xsn or if it try and do the same thing with the example. I did indeed create a new doc type. thanks for the offer - im free after 10am Pacific on Thursday

Hi, Im stuck - what does this mean - i get this error when i try and map my own document or the sample on when i click on the select schema node icon: "Infopath cannot complete this action, because of an error in the form's code"  (see attached screenshot) thanks in advance, Michael

Hi, I have installed the client version first which failed (event log attached). im not sure if that was wrong to do that first being that they were both on one box - then i installed the server standalone trial wich worked just fine. If i try and reinstall the client it says that the services are already installed and does not let me get any ...
