  • Re: Single record in a repeating table.

Apparantly, either because I am using a secondary data source, or because the repeating section is contained in an optional section, step 14 in that link does not applay, as there is no "[Filter Data...]" button so I can set the position() function. (I'm guessing it's because I'm linked to a secondary datasource.) I am ...

  • Single record in a repeating table.

I am trying to develop a web-based interface that is rather complicated.  I have a form that contains four optional sections.  Each optional section is visble or hidden depending on a button pressed, with only one optional section visible at a time.  It functions muchj like a tabbed control.  Within each optional section is a ...

  • Views for looking at different DATA?

Views allow you to present the same data in a different way, depending on various criteria.  Got that. If I want to see an individuals personal information, vs. an individuals office information. Bot all the info is based on a single 'person' data record.  I want to view an individuals personal information in ONE view, and then ...

  • Re: Need some experienced advice...please.

I will try some ideas for the filtering..there are about 5 parameters that 'adjust' what a person can see.  I know that will come later.  I'm wondering about how to do the 'tabbed' type of display I'm attempting, having dinsinct tabs for each different type of record on a single form page.  The method I had ...

  • Need some experienced advice...please.

Each person may (or may not, depending on their accesses) add or change ...

  • Query Result Navigation

I'm starting to get the hang of this stuff.  I have a form that has a repeating section for holding the results of a query.  When I query the database, I get 5 records back.  BUT I want to display them a single record at a time.  I converted it from a repeating section to just a section, and I see the results I want (a ...
