A couple of quick (I hope) follow-ups: the link suggests that forms you email to external users will be in the .xsn format. Is that required, or would it also be possible to publish the public version of the form to a list of email recipients, thereby transmitting it as a .xml? If it is ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by infopathnewbie02 on 10-29-2010 Working Around Permission Issues I'm designing a form for an organization working with many external constituents. We want to ultimately upload their responses to our internal SharePoint list, but unfortunately, the IT headquarters won't alllow external access to SharePoint. I've designed the form with a Submit button that emails the completed forms back to my Outlook ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by infopathnewbie02 on 10-27-2010 Re: Which Text Box isn't Bound? Really appreciate the offer, but somehow I figured it out. There was an issue in my repeating table somewhere, although I'm not sure exactly what was going on. I thought had all my controls labeled, so I went through the list and deleted them. Then the Design Checker started giving me an error message saying "Text Box is Not Bound," but I can't ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by infopathnewbie02 on 10-05-2010 Re: Emailing Browser Enabled InfoPath Forms So you're saying a PC without InfoPath can't just open an .xml file in Internet Explorer or Firefox? Instead they need to be directed to a Sharepoint site? Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by infopathnewbie02 on 10-05-2010 Emailing Browser Enabled InfoPath Forms I have created a form in InfoPath that I would like to email to a list of recipients as an attachment. Some of these recipients may have InfoPath installed and some will not. They MAY all have Outlook, but not positive about that either. Can I email the form as an attachment that will open in InfoPath if they have it, and in IE if not?
