Thank you so much - I shall remember this technique! Posted to General (Forum) by davidstone789 on 11-29-2012 Re: addDays() doesn't seem to work on external fields if I set filters Hi Hilary - thanks for your time :) Your workaround is exactly what I came up with too, but there's a slight problem with it, namely that I am trying to display a different value on every row of my repeating section. In essence the external list is a list of meetings held. What I wanted to display is each meeting date plus a number of days - ... Posted to General (Forum) by davidstone789 on 11-29-2012 Re: addDays() doesn't seem to work on external fields if I set filters (Update: actually the same error occurs with a calculated value box outside of the repeated section as well) Posted to General (Forum) by davidstone789 on 11-27-2012 Re: addDays() doesn't seem to work on external fields if I set filters There are a couple of relevent factors I should mention. The formula I am using is for a button label - although the same error occurs for a calculated value box. Also this is inside of a repeating section bound to a sharepoint list data connection, and when it queries the date field, that's from a different sharepoint list data connection. Posted to General (Forum) by davidstone789 on 11-27-2012 Re: addDays() doesn't seem to work on external fields if I set filters Hi - thanks for responding. I've tried that just now, and yes it returns the value I expected. Worth noting that the error happens as I'm building the formula, rather than it simply not giving me what I want/expect at runtime. Could it be related to the data type of the field? It's set in SharePoint as a date field, and within ... Posted to General (Forum) by davidstone789 on 11-27-2012 addDays() doesn't seem to work on external fields if I set filters So I'm pulling in a standard SharePoint list with one of the fields containing a date. I also have a 'Unique ID', and what I am trying to do is display the date from a specific record (matching the Unique ID) - but with 30 days added to it. So if I do 'addDays(MyExternalListDateField, 30)' for example, that works - but of ... I look forward to correcting the person in question!;-) Posted to General (Forum) by davidstone789 on 08-20-2012 Re: Problem with Receive Data Query not working for condition What you've said here points to the data you're pulling back from the server, and not from the actual infopath form itself. The reason I say that is because it works the first few times, and you've compared the code from when it works and when it stop working, and it's all the same... so the *only* thing which has changed is the ... Posted to General (Forum) by davidstone789 on 08-20-2012 Microsoft's plans for future Infopath investment/development? Hi there all. I've heard suggestion that Microsoft has decided to end further investment in Infopath, but apart from the person who said I can't find any further verification. Obviously I would rather that not be the case. Does anyone here have a better idea about Microsoft's plans for Infopath? Thanks. Posted to General (Forum) by davidstone789 on 08-20-2012 Using current() function with external data source in nested repeating sections Ok, it's a little tricky to describe what I'm trying to do, but I'll do my best! Given a repeating section, with a repeating section inside, I want to hide rows of the inner repeating section based on its contents matching the value of a field in the outer sections 'current()' row. I've tested this, and managed to get it ... Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by davidstone789 on 05-27-2011 Page 1 of 1 (10 items) Copyright © 2003-2019 Qdabra Software.
