  • Retrieve data from database: "Invalid Character Error"

Every once in awhile I get this error when trying to open up an InfoPath form.  The data stored in the database has an invalid character.  I can go in and delete the offending character and get the form working again.  My question is what are the valid characters supported by retrieval from the access database?  I'm looking ...

  • Re: Load Form based on user input

I've solved my dilemma... mostly.  The only issue is that now all of the tests and their data is loaded into every form slowing down how quickly the form loads and returns data. On the very top of my form I created the interface for the user to be able to select the test they want to take.  Below that I have the interface for the ...

  • Re: Pull xPath data with multiple filters applied

Thanks Hilary. I tried an uppercase AND and lower case and with no luck.  I finally managed to get the data out and place into a string.  Since each element is only a single character in length I can parse the string as needed to get the data into the correct place.'place test answers into a string called QA xpath = ...

  • Load Form based on user input

I have a form that will load test questions from multiple tests.  I would like the user to select a test and only those test questions populate the rest of the form.  What is the best way of achieving this?  Is it possible to change the SQL query at load time to only retrieve that one specific test? Is it possible to have ...

  • Re: Insert Value into Expression Box inside Repeating Table

I can go about and place values into a textbox now using the above code.  How would I later pull out different values from the repeating section through code?  More specifically, I need to pull out the @Answer node for each repeating section.  Thanks for your help

  • Re: Insert Value into Expression Box inside Repeating Table

Thanks Hilary for the quick response.  It is greatly appreciated.  I tried what you gave me to no success.  I thought it was quite strange so I converted the expression box to a textbox and ran the form again.  This time I provided a value in the textbox and the moment the textbox lost focus the value disappeared.  It did ...

  • Insert Value into Expression Box inside Repeating Table

Hi,   I found this code on this forum and it works great to get the number of repeating sections I need onto the form.  I am now trying to get a number into the @QuestionNumber node in each repeating section.  I can't seem to figure it out.  Unfortunately, there are no errors given and the value is not inserted into the ...
