  • Re: Day of week from date picker

Thanks Jimmy! I actually had just found that shortly after I posted.  I put my own spin on it that mixed what was in the link I orginally used with the formula in the link you provided.  Instead of having the hidden sections show the day of week I just use conditional rules to set a field to the string of the day of the ...

  • Re: Day of week from date picker

Hi Frederik, I know this post is old, but I'm hoping that you happen to have an updated URL to the link you posted in 2009?  I used the link about a year ago and it worked great, but now the blog has been deleted.  Unfortunately somehow my rules got deleted and I don't remember anything about how it was done.  Thanks in ...

  • Re: Archiving - With attachments.

Were the fields promoted during publishing?  You need to promote them when you publish to make them follow the content type.  As far as getting the two to use the same Total field the only way to do that is when you publish the 2nd form (say you published Purchase Request already and you're going to publish Expenses now):  In ...

  • Re: Archiving - With attachments.

Glad I could help  :)   If you have troubles implementing this and need my help just post a comment on this thread so that I get notified.  I don't check this forum as much as others so I may not see your question if you post it as a new one.

  • Re: Archiving - With attachments.

Are you wishing to archive because you need to change the form so much that the xml structure will be changed which would then throw an error when an older version is opened?  If that's the case I would assume that you published your form template directly to the form library.  The best approach is to create a form library to hold ...

  • Re: General connection query

Hi, first go into your access data connections and uncheck the box that says "automatically retrieve data when form is opened". Then, go into tools > form options > Category:  Open and Save > Rules You can add rules in here to check to see if the data has been set yet or not.  Click Condition and select a field that ...

  • Re: Disable Controls

How is your form setup?  What I would do is have the fields I want to disable in their own section (separate from the dropdown you require a selection from).  Then you can right click the section with the fields that should be disabled, go to conditional formatting and select if dropdown box is empty  then hide this control.  ...

  • Re: Archiving - With attachments.

Would you be able to just make a template (without the content) of the document library; then change the name of the original document library; then create a new document library using that template with the original name....?

  • Re: Referencing two Data Sources

Add a new data connection to your form that points to the 2nd sharepoint list you want to reference.  Pull in the fields that you need to compare or use to set the values of other fields in your form.  Then you need to set a rule on the dropdown that is connected to the 1st sharepoint list.  I am assuming that these lists have data ...

  • Re: InfoPath -> Dynamics SL. Need some direction.

I know this is old, but who knows it just might help someone.  I have an InfoPath form running that pushes data to Dynamics SL.  In our environment Dynamics reads from our SQL server.  So, I just submit the data to the appropriate tables that Dynamics uses.  Just make sure you have all of the required fields (in the database ...
