  • Re: E-mail from InfoPath

The problem is the data connector did not allow me to customize the e-mails in the way i need. I couldn't change the body of the e-mail message to just sections i wanted. Unless I missed something.   I also need lots of buttons that e-mail off to different people in some cases, and only e-mail sections of the form. This formatting of ...

  • E-mail from InfoPath

I wonder if someone here can help me.  I have a wonderfully working Infopath form until I upgraded my Office to 2010. Essentially I've created buttons that send e-mails out. Here is an example of the code:  ' Create a new MailItem.Dim oMsg As Outlook._MailItem oMsg = ...

  • Re: E-mail Submit Button - Code - Please can you assist with error?

I managed to complete my code but it seems like the introduction part of the e-mail is limited...  Is there anyway I can submit using the body of the e-mail instead? Here is my code after working through all my fields.   Public Sub btnSubmit_Clicked(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As ...

Ok I found out this was because my e-mail submit was labelled wrong. Should have been "SubmitForm".  I have another question now. Is it possible for this button to submit the data in the body but not send the entire form with it as well? I just want it to send an e-mail with data in the body of the message if that is ...

It turns out I already had SP2 installed.  After restarting my machine today though I'm getting a different error now when I test it from the preview. System.Collections.Generic.KeyNotFoundException The given key was not present in the dictionary.    at System.ThrowHelper.ThrowKeyNotFoundException()    at ...

  • E-mail Submit Button - Code - Please can you assist with error?

I used the following code to create a submit button:  Public Sub btnSubmit_Clicked(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As ClickedEventArgs) 'get the value from the text fieldDim interestingText As String = MainDataSource.CreateNavigator().SelectSingleNode("/my:myFields/my:textField", NamespaceManager).Value 'get the ...

  • Re: E-mail Body - taken from fields

That's what I thought but the original response I got said I can use that code. I didn't think i was able to.   Is there an easy way to convert it to Javascript or is it easier just to use InfoPath 2007? Does this mean everyone accessing the form will need InfoPath 2007 as well? Or how do i get Infopath 2003 to use C# or VB.NET? ...

  • Re: E-mail Body - taken from fields

It doesn't seem to work. Is this because it's in VB and C#? This is what I have now:   function btnSubmit::OnClick(eventObj) { public void btnSubmit_Clicked(object sender, ClickedEventArgs e) { //get the value from the text field string interestingText = ...

  • E-mail Body - taken from fields

I'm using Infopath 2003 and I've created a form. I want to have 2-3 submit buttons on the form which send different data off to different people. Essentially I want the buttons to take some data from various text box fields on the form and add it to the body of the message.  I found this link here: ...

  • re: So you want to send an email.....

Hilary, I'm trying to do something similar to what you have described here. Essentially I want to add various fields to the body of my message. What I want to happen now is to have a submit button that doesn't send all the date but just certain fields in the body of the message and doesn't send the attachment. When I click "Edit Form ...
