Each year I have to renew my certificate from our local CA, then open a couple of Infopath forms and go to security and trust to select the renewed certificate and then deploy the form again.
I have done this on these particular forms for 5 years without any issue.
User's can no longer open the form as the certificate expired. I missed ...

Seems that's exactly what it was - thanks very much!

As happens each year the certificate has expired on a couple of InfoPath templates and as I do each year I go back to the certificate server, generate a new one, install it.
Then I open InfoPath re-sign the form and re-publish it.
I go to the document library (SharePoint 2013) and try to open an existing document (XML) and get told the certificate ...

Thanks, you almost have my scenario correct except the comparison.
I have a list called HSReps, in that list is name, area and email.
The name field populates the drop down box in my form called HSRep. This is the secondary connection.
The user selects a name and then I want to populate HSDept with the value of Area from the HSReps ...

Should I re-upload the template?

Should add that the list (that this InfoPath serves) has 2 lookups, both drop downs and both involved in the cascading bit.
The first dropdown "building" expects the text value from the drop down selection but the second dropdown (which is initially populated based on the 1st DD selection) does not.
I can change the data connection ...

Hope the images explain, first one is the InfoPath setup that makes the cascade. Second is the list column definition in sharepoint.
I've done this a couple of times in the past but don't remember striking this ...
