Because Access is not on everyone's computers, I've started creating read-only InfoPath forms so co-workers can search the database in real time instead of calling/emailing/visiting me for the information. Basically, my problem is with the limited capabilities of search. Or perhaps my ... I was putting the back end db on the personal drive and front end on the public server. After I switched that and added a password to the back end db, everything's been working as I had hoped (quick, knock on wood!). It's all good now. Thx. :-) Posted to Microsoft Access (Forum) by Brenda on 05-14-2010 front/back end Access 2003 database and Infopath 2003 Okay, I might be way out in left field with this brainstorm, but is it possible to base an Infopath form on a front end Access database housed on a public server that is linked to a back end Access database housed on a personal drive? Brenda Posted to General (Forum) by Brenda on 04-12-2010 Calculation question I have a form with a data connection to an Access database. I don't need to store the age of a person in the database because I have it automatically calculated from the birthdate (DOB) field. However, I would like to have the InfoPath form calculate in a different field when an end user fills in the DOB field. Is it possible? ... Also, after posting my question, I realized I can utilize the tags to narrow my search for previously posted questions. :-P Thx, Brenda Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Brenda on 03-23-2010 Limiting number of repeats My apologies if this has already been asked and answered...I couldn't find a way to search text in the forum or threads other than manually scanning them and honestly, I don't have enough time to commit to that. :-) Is there a way to limit the number of repeats on a form (i.e. a maximum of eight rows on a ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Brenda on 03-22-2010 updating InfoPath 2003 form connected to 2003 Access dbase I'm a newbie to InfoPath and this forum. I'm trying to make some processes at work a little more efficient. One is entering test scores into an Access database and the form saved for later updates. I've got an InfoPath form set up to submit the first round of test scores to the Access database no problem. However, the ...
