  Hi Thanks for your efforts.  I have just asked my IT department to provide me with full access to sharepoint. I am now part of the Home owners group. However the issue still occurs.... very frustrating.  Any more ideas?    

hi thanks for replying.   It was to receive data.   I have also tried to shorten to the URL so to speak, but it still doesn;t like it.    

Hi Im new to info path, so this may be obvious.  I have created a list on a sharepoint site, to which i would like a form to populate the said list.  When trying to create a data connection, i select Sharepoint list and proceed to enter the URL for the list.   However each time i get "infopath could not connect, as the site ...
