But if you are saving to another document library it isn't required. Cheers Brian Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by bmcomp on 01-18-2012 Update Document Metadata from within infopath Hi, I have done something similar to this with a sharepoint list based on this article http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc162745.aspx This time I am exporting a infopath from as a PDF using the add-in and some code: this.CurrentView.Export(@"http://testurl/" + fileName, ExportFormat.Pdf); But after I export it I would like ... Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by bmcomp on 01-18-2012 Re: Total of repeating table with custom row totals Thanks Jimmy, Looks like I have to use a bit of both :) The reason for not using a field is that it gives me an error (Cannot store data correctly). I assume this is because the repeating table is bound to a list but this field is not. So when I run the form the value for the first item is calculated but the rest are not. So that's ... But I did have a look at the article and came up with a solution. The problem was as you said the rendering of each rule/calculation in the view (even though the user would only be editing one item in the table) all fields/tables where being rendered after every change. So in ... Posted to General (Forum) by bmcomp on 02-10-2011 Total of repeating table with custom row totals Hi, I have a repeating table bound to a sharepoint list. I needed to calculate a value on each row so i added a column with and expression box and did my calculation. This works fine but I also need a total of all the expression boxes in the table in the footer. Is it possible to get a sum() of expression boxes? Or is there any other way ... Posted to General (Forum) by bmcomp on 02-10-2011 Accessing SQL with infopath issue (permissions?) Hi, I have been testing a infopath form to pull data from a SQL database. It works fine except after its been published to sharepoint. My form is not fully trusted. Also i noticed I don't get the normal Security Notice to confirm the data sources. I do get this when previewing, but i have always got this even when data connections are ... Posted to SQL Database Integration (Forum) by bmcomp on 09-22-2010 Re: Sql and SharePoint integreation - possible? Hi, This can be done easily. When creating your form use the database template. This will ask you to setup a connection to your database. After you hit next, you can tick to allow the connection submit data back to the database. Note, this won't work for browser forms. Now you can create your form. If you want to submit to a ... Posted to SQL Database Integration (Forum) by bmcomp on 09-22-2010 Re: Read only views Hi Slovak1, I think your best option is to use a form load rule. This rule will run every time a form is opened. You just need to apply a rule that checks if it is a new form being created, or if someone is opening a submitted form. If it is a new form, do nothing and let the user complete the form as normal. If it is a submitted form, ... Posted to General (Forum) by bmcomp on 09-22-2010 Reduced performance as form is filled in Hi, I have a form that is used to create quotes for jobs. My problem is as more items are added to the form the slower it gets. Let me explain the form: I have a repeating section for each item in a quote. Within this section I have another repeating section which pulls product data from a database. The user would choose a product ...
