  • Re: Deploying qRules-injected form to Sharepoint Online

Hi Hilary, as far as I know, 'sandboxed' solutions are being deprecated in SP Online/SP2013. As are the ASMX web services and the owssvr.dll. The soap webservices and the dll will stil be around for backwords compatibility, but for how long, not sure.  This might have something to do with the problem of publishing to a sandbox, ...

  • SaveToSharePoint, why do we need a repeating File attachment field?

I have successfully been able to use the SaveToSharepoint, with multiple file attachment fields, that are not repeating, by using separate rules for each attachment field. Is there a reason why they indicate that if mulitple file attachment fields are in a form, that the file attachment field must be repeating? Is there a finite number of rules ...

  • Re: DBXL and SharePoint enforced Check-in/out

Hi Jim, the logs did show the message "...The file  is checked out or locked for editing by.... '. It is frustrating however, that the person working with the form, is who checked it out to. However, as I explained in my previous thread, the DBXL and Back-end SQL are updated no problem when they hit the submit button (when back in ...

  • Re: DBXL and SharePoint enforced Check-in/out

Hi Jim,   You have given me some ideas I think I will try. One of them is I will create a data connection to the form library and receive the check-out to, and Id of the document. I will then place a conditional statemrnt on the submit button that if the checked-out-to does not equal the person using the form, then the submit button will be ...

  • Re: DBXL and SharePoint enforced Check-in/out

Hi Jim,   Thank for your response. I am waiting for my administrator to send me the Qdabra event logs to see if I can see this item you mentioned. To apply a 'LockDocument' does that mean that I now have to add managed code to my infopath form, or is it accessbile through one of the DBXL webservices? If the user is working ...

  • DBXL and SharePoint enforced Check-in/out

We have employed DBXL2.4 with the document webservice to submit a form to both backend SQL and SharePoint. We have the Library in SharePoint enforcing check-in/out  and major versioning (10). We are finding that even with forced check-out/in on the Library, other users are still able to open a checked-out form from SharePoint(even ...

  • re: Mapping Rich Text data using DBXL v2.4

Will this work only for InfoPath Rich Text fields? What if I wanted to map a Text box to SQL. I originally set up the data type in SQL as nvChar(MAX) and it was mapped in DAT as String. Do I need to drop an recreate my sql tables or just change my data type in DAT to String(inner), or must I also now also edit my form and change all text boxes to ...

  • Re: Offline Infopath forms - web enabled forms

If I use a Form template that has been designed for Forms services(Infopath 2003)/Form Library in SharePoint(WSS&MOSS 2007), and then use that template (.xsn) separately, when not connected to a server, when I hit the submit (which send the data to the SahrePoint Server) what will happen when not connected? Can someone just save the form ...
