It might but I am not sure exactly how to do that.  How would I find out how many characters could fit in a multiline text box.  Also can you give me the steps to do it using data validation.  I am not sure if I am doing it correctly. Thanks  

Thanks but I was hoping to limit the text and size of the text box a different way.  I don't want to allow the user to keep typing and get the scroll bars.  Is there any other options that you can think of that limits the size of the box and doesn't expand or get scollbars? Thanks for your help.  

I have a problem trying to limit a multiline text box to a specific size.  Is there a way to turn off expand to show all text?
