I figured this out.  I had to add the file path to the share drive where the Access database was shared into the LOCAL SITES option within Internet Explorer SECURITY settings. 

I created an InfoPath 2007 form that connects to a MS Access 2003 .mdb file that allows a user to select a record group from within the form using a drop-down box and then update all records in that group.
