 I'm not entirely sure why this works (did it a couple of days ago, so now forgot!) but I've added a second rule to the validation that says if the tetbox is blank, seems to work fine now :)

Hi, I'm really hoping this is a simply thing to fix! I've a form which has two option buttons depending on the option selected it toggles two text boxes on and off for being required fields. This all works fine, however when the boxes are required when entering any text the text box has a red dotted line border and the form is unable ...

Spoke to soon! I get the red stars etc :) but now when clicking the submit button I get a validation error. Specifically a red dashed border around the text box even if text has been entered. Thanks, Dan

Hi, Thanks for this however it does not seem to change the functionality of the text box to be a required field with a red star like other text boxes I have. Any further thoughts? Thanks again, Dan

Hi all, I'm very new to InfoPath and am trying to get the following working. I want two text boxes to become required fields based on the option button a user chooses which is also a required option. Is this possible? Thanks, Dan
