• passing parameters to other webparts from infopath

I am stumped on an InfoPath project – turns out it might be a “deal breaker” if I can’t get it working. I created a page with an InfoPath 2010  form webpart and a list view web part of library. What I want to accomplish is passing the promoted output parameter from InfoPath into the editform.aspx modal pop-up for a document library ...

That's what causes the issue: when people select "send a link" from the item menu in the doc library. For whatever reason, this auto-generated link opens up the the infopah client instead of the browser!

Is there a better way to do this? I am forcing it through the "advanced settings" in the SharePoint Library, but users can still open it in InfoPath when they e-mail a link to the form.
Hello, Let's make sure the process is clear: 1. User submits the form. 2. Workflow adds the Request Number. 3. User reopens the form - when the user reopens, is the Request Number visible in the form? Is the Request Number stored in the xml? (you can download the xml and open it in a text editor to ...

  • Re: Field in Infopath not seen in "update" in Workflow in SharePoint Designer

When you promote the fields, there is a check box to allow them to be edited through SharePoint. The box will need to be checked for every field you promote before it can be accessed in workflows and other SharePoint UI stuff.

  • Saving is erasing values!!

I have a browser-enabled IP 2007 form template running in MOSS 2007. Users add their info, then submit to a SP library. I have a workflow that takes the built-in SP ID column value and stores it in a secondary column in the Library ("Request Number") per end-user request. I have a data connection to the list that retrieves the value in ...
try setting the tab order of this control to -1. that will prevent the control from getting focus
I tried that too, but it's still an issue.

  • focus "bouncing" ?

I have a form template deployed to SharePoint doclib that I force to open in the browser via SharePoint. The template's controls are in various sections. The sections have conditional formatting to show/hide based upon values of hidden fields in the data source, the values of which are controlled by the click of buttons or check ...

  • Re: disabling submit feature for re-opened xml forms

Sorry for taking forever to get back to you. I'm not sure what you mean exactly, so I'll just detail the whole process. Behind the scenes, there is a hidden field in my data source that stores the unique file name (see next) upon submit. This drives the process. New forms don't have a value for this field, but ones that have been ...

  • Re: Issue with repeating section field value

As an update: We have spent much time debugging on the server. The only thing we've gleaned is that the data is pulled from the table, that it's set to the right fields, but the movement of the selector is not recognized, for some reason. But why on earth does it work for the first instance of the repeating section, or work just fine ...
