• Re: ADO Security Warnings

Also, I tried setting "Access data sources across domains" to Enable in IE Security Settings. I saw that as a suggested solution somewhere, too.

  • ADO Security Warnings

I have an InfoPath 2003 form that uses two data connections to a SQL database. When opening the form I get the ADO warnings about this. Everything I've seen to get around these warnings is to add a URL to a SharePoint Doc Library to your trusted sites. Obviously, this doesn't really apply to me, as I am using a DB as my source, ...

Also, if I try to open the project in VS 2005 (With the VSTA SDK installed) I get a "The project type is not supported by this installation.

  • Moving a form from 2007 to 2003

I've got a form designed in IP 2007 and I am attempting to get it moved back to 2003 for a client.  I have been successful in "Saving as 2003", fixing compatability errors/warning, and rewriting the code to be 2003 complient C#. So the form now works fine in a 2003 client. However, I am trying to get to a point where ...

  • Re: Date Picker validation

My IP form submits to a SQL Server 2008 datasource. I have fields in my DB that are type "date". When I add this field to a form, as a date picker control I am getting bizarre behavior. If I type in a date (i.e. 4/10) and move focus to another control the date picker properly formats the date (4/10/2009), but the field is outlined in ...

  • Link to a local file.

Hi all, I'm trying to figure out how to point a link control to a PDF on the local machine a form is running from. I'm not having much luck doing a search for this. I keep getting links on attachments, etc. Thanks for the assistance. Seth

  • Re: InfoPath Unique ID Number
The best way is to use SQL which will generate a unique sequential ID with each submit.
Not to hijack, but I tried this today, and an issue I ran into is the ID doesn't fully get set until you submit. In my case I had a repeating table/section with a couple fields and allowed the user to insert. I ...

  • Re: Dragging a field from the datasource to the designer.

Is there a way to turn of the automated text that InfoPath adds based on the field name? I have a bunch of forms I've designed from a UI perspective, and now I'm adding all my fields from the datasource and it is a non-stop effort of deleting the added text. It would save a ton of time to turn that off.

  • Re: Non-bound section in a repeating section.

Why? It has nothing to do with any data... Is there no way to have a section that is just for presentation purposes?
