If you're still having issues after your investigations, send me a private message (click on my name and go to my profile page) with your email address and I'll send you an email address you can send your form template and the XSL to. Then I can have a look into it for you when I get a chance. Posted to General (Forum) by symwongaton on 07-10-2009 Re: Duplicate Attribute when adding a new data connection Did you try the same XSL with a different form template? Also, do you have anything in your form template that you aren't using anymore? How about data validations? Rules? Instead of stripping the XSL, you could try starting with a plain form and add your controls and validation from there and see where it breaks. Hi Lauren, I wouldn't know either how to do it using CAML (as used in the article). My first instinct would be to write code that uses the SharePoint Object Model to retrieve all events that might fall in the period specified on the form, and then display a message to the user saying that the specified event overlaps with other events. As ... Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by symwongaton on 06-23-2009 Re: Programmatically add an item to a SharePoint list fails Glad to hear you got it sorted. Yes, column names can be a pain to change in SharePoint once they've been created; and what you see on the front-end is not what SharePoint has stored on the back-end. So you have to keep them simple and get them right from the start. Good job, though, on figuring out what the problem was! Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by symwongaton on 06-15-2009 Re: Programmatically add an item to a SharePoint list fails No worries. I'm doing OK, thanks. I've not seen Office 2010, yet. You? :) Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by symwongaton on 06-12-2009 Re: Programmatically add an item to a SharePoint list fails Hi, All code on BizSupportOnline.NET is tested before it goes online. While I don't guarantee that it will work nor give support for any code I publish, I do ensure that I go through all of the steps of each article before publishing them. Have you followed the exact steps as described in the article and tested the solution before making ... Posted to General (Forum) by symwongaton on 03-26-2009 Re: Duplicate Attribute when adding a new data connection Sorry for the delay in responding; things have been hectic. Yes, it sounds like the XPath expressions to the fields are incorrect. But you may have already resolved this? Posted to General (Forum) by symwongaton on 03-24-2009 Re: Duplicate Attribute when adding a new data connection No worries. Glad you got a step further. Posted to General (Forum) by symwongaton on 03-12-2009 Re: Duplicate Attribute when adding a new data connection Thanks for listing the steps you followed. As I've understood from your story, you added the data connection (without adding any code yet) and tried previewing the form? And this is when things broke? If this is the case, it definitely sounds as though there is an error in the XSL file. Judging from the error message of "duplicate ...
