I created a new SECTION CONTROL that I pasted the two fields I wanted hidden and just simply used conditional formatting on the SECTION and added rules. It works just like I wanted. Posted to Browser Forms (Forum) by AyaBabe on 02-27-2009 Re: Hiding fields That link explains how to set user information for a drop-down control. I followed the directions and [I think] I applied the data connection to the section in my form. What do I do now to make it hide the section?? Use conditional formatting?? Posted to Browser Forms (Forum) by AyaBabe on 02-27-2009 Re: Hiding fields How do you use that method in InfoPath? Do you post it in notepad and save it as an XML file? I looked up GetUserCollectionFromGroup here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms772554.aspx Thanks Posted to Browser Forms (Forum) by AyaBabe on 02-27-2009 Re: Hiding fields I thought user roles weren't supported by InfoPath Forms Services............................. Posted to Browser Forms (Forum) by AyaBabe on 02-27-2009 Hiding fields Can someone tell me the best way to hide two fields that are only viewable to a site administrator and hidden to a user? It didn't work on this file - but I will keep it in mind for future forms! I got this error message once I changed it to a .cab file: The form contains XML that cannot be parsed: An invalid character was found in text content. Line 1, Position 5 MSCF I am just going to have to redo the whole ... I've been looking for the same thing, but WITHOUT code and I came across this: http://www.sharepointblogs.com/ssa/archive/2006/01/03/populating-infopath-fields-with-sql-data-using-managed-code.aspx Hope it helps! It opens in notepad as a bunch of strange characters! Posted to Browser Forms (Forum) by AyaBabe on 02-11-2009 Page 1 of 2 (15 items) 1 2 Next > Copyright © 2003-2019 Qdabra Software.
