I also learned that you can rename the extension from .xsn to .cab to easily access the source files. Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by GMLear on 04-14-2014 Lost VB project, need to republish A coworker asked me to modify a couple of dropdowns in a SharePoint-published InfoPath file. I used SharePoint Designer to open the template in design mode and made the changes, but when I went to quick publish the template, InfoPath prompted me that the Visual Basic project file could not be found. The project file is long gone--lost to a ... You wrote that publishing Full Trust forms is a bad practice. I'm curious about this in that I want to write managed code for a form and publish to our SharePoint site. Is there a paper, blog entry, etc. out there that explains ... Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by GMLear on 06-11-2010 Calling function through xdExtension restricts modifying nodes InfoPath is a great tool, but it regularly breaks my heart. I just this week learned I could call functions from rules by using xdExtension (thank you, Greg Collins). The heartbreak comes in with the fact that I don't seem to be able to change the value of a node when calling xdExtension. Instead, I get an error stating that ... Posted to Code (Forum) by GMLear on 06-08-2010 Comment/Uncomment button disabled The comment and uncomment buttons within my VBScript editor are disabled, turned off, unavailable for use. Does anyone know what's going on? Is this just a fact of life when programming VBScript? I didn't notice it before... I apologize for my ignorance on the subject. Posted to General (Forum) by GMLear on 12-01-2009 No "Publish as an installable form template" option I need to publish a fully trusted InfoPath 2007 form that I've developed in VS2008 (with VS2008 SP1 installed) and want to do it by creating an installable form. My problem is that I cannot find an option anywhere within VS2008 that would create an installable form. If I select Build> Publish the resulting Publishing ... Posted to General (Forum) by GMLear on 11-30-2009 Re: Error message on user's machine I should've mentioned... The system generates a different, unique stack trace for each of the features I've programmed into the form. And some of these don't necessarily perform a node test. Posted to Code (Forum) by GMLear on 11-24-2009 Re: Error message on user's machine Glad you liked my avatar--it expresses how I feel most of time when dealing with this technology. I'm afraid it's not the code--the code works on my computer. Found one blog that said it's a 3.5 Framework issue, and to roll back to 2.0! Another one tells me that I need to set the form to full trust ... Posted to Code (Forum) by GMLear on 11-24-2009 Error message on user's machine One of the users of a form I developed cannot run any of the VB .NET programming I've written into the form. She has all the latest .NET Framework updates installed, including 3.5. A good example of the problem is when she clicks a button where the programming determines the selected node of a repeating table, makes some ...
