Hi I have a hello world web service hosted on a public IP.
In my box I am able to call the web service using Web Service Studio.
I created a Infopath 2003 form. I added a button in the form. In the action for the button, I am calling the HelloWorld Web Service.
When I try to Preview the form, on clicking the button i get the following ...

The dictionaries are extensible. If you want to use a medical dictionary, just do the same thing you do for Word. InfoPath senses the Office dictionaries.

I created a Microsoft Infopath form for users of a team to fill out weekly status reports. I configured the submit button to get emailed out to two different individuals when the user hits the submit button. After testing today we had a few problems. One problem is that infopath opens up microsoft outlook to send the form. Is there a way to get ...

Actually, I am not sure why you are seeing this behavior. Did you open the web from directly after publishing it? Here is what I tried:
1. Design a form in InfoPath with a ''close button''
2. Publish it to a new document library
3. Set the document library to open forms in browser (as opposed to the rich client) via advanced properties
4. Create ...

Interesting thought. I did that, openened the form, verified I couldn't fill out the fields that have been causing the trouble, and saved it. Opened up the XML file in a text editor....and the fields were there. Opened it up again in InfoPath, and could fill it out. Then I opened a new copy, put it in design mode, extracted the form files. Opened ...

Hi, I've read through all of the cascading dropdown posts but I don't think they apply. I have one dropdown in a repeating table that pulls from a secondary data source. I want the values filtered based on preceding selections. If January is selected on row 1, it should not be available in all subsequent rows. Here is what I had but it's not ...

Sounds like the ''locked'' fields are missing from the data source. If you can, find a form where its not working and save out the XML to it. See if those ''locked'' fields are even present in the XML. My guess is that they are not. So, if that is the case, you then need to figure out WHY they are not present and resolve that issue.

You can probably do what you want by using a Receive Data connection rather than a Submit Data connection. Both allow submit, the difference is that the Receive one lets you get data back as a result.

I'm assuming you are wanting to use rules and not code. Code is easy--you do the query, and if successful, get the data and populate the fields.
Rules is very similar... One action is to query. Actions following the query then populate the required fields by pulling data from the freshly queried data source.
