I don't have the .NET permissions memorized, but I believe that any direct call to SQL from the client requires SQL Client Permissions which are not on by default for domain trust forms. My recommendation is just install the Web service trial and you can do this without writing any code. If you want to write code, try publishing the form to a ...

In InfoPath 2007, you don't need code. In the Designer, click on Tools->Submit Options. Add your submit data connection. Click Advanced and uncheck the ''Show success and failure messages''. That ought to do it, but I haven't had time to try it. Let us know if that solves your problem.

Microsoft Script Editor supports VB. InfoPath 2003 supports VB script. You can use another VB script editor to create the vbs files but you will have to manually integrate. There might be a way to change the registry to make your script editor the preferred one, but I'm not sure that would work since InfoPath assumes MSE.

Hi Patrick, thanks for the quick reply and welcome!
The Qdabra suite sounds pretty cool... currently I'm just playing with a basic prototype form using an Access DB on my local machine. Eventually though some version of the form will be used on my org's intranet, and being still kind of new to InfoPath (and MS dev in general) I'm sure I will have ...

Hi folks,
I am a co-developer of an open-source medical record system infrastructure called OpenMRS http://www.openmrs.org). I thought that developers and MS-type folk alike might want to see how we've integrated Infopath into our software, designed for HIV care in sub-Saharan Africa.
Interested?
As long as you have Infopath 2003 with SP2 ...

I can get the formula to work when I insert the field in the To: section in the Data Connection Wizard but for only 1 person.
My question is do I need to enclose the 2 ...

You can go from unmanaged to managed code without any issue. The problem is going from managed to unmanaged. This is a security issue. To accomplish this you would need to set your form to be full trust.
If your unmanaged code is in the task pane, you might be able to rework things in such a way that you only go from unmanaged to managed (i.e. ...

You would add it as a child of apply-templates.
However, xsl:sort does not ''round trip'' in the InfoPath designer... meaning that InfoPath will either strip it out completely, or it will mess it up in some other way. The only way around this is to use it inside of a preserve code block (xd:preserve). You should be able to find information on ...

Yes. You might not be able to change all that you want to change (although you might be able to do so with managed code--not sure).
