Just a rule on the field. So, I'm not sure what version of InfoPath you are using, but if 2007, you can right click on the field and select rules to look at the rules or in IP 2010, select the field and click Manage Rules from the Home tab of the ribbon.
But, really, if they add new rows after the field has been set, they won't have that ...

Where is the field that you want the user to be able to put time in? Is it in the same table?
I've attached a sample with a few ideas in it. Save the linked file locally, right click on the saved file and select Design to open in design mode.
Since I'm not quite sure what you need to do, this may not be it, but it should give you a few ...

You bet:
http://{urltoyourlibrary}/Forms/template.xsn
{urltoyourlibrary} should be replaced with the URL to the form library the template has been published to.
http://MySite/MyLibrary/Forms/template.xsn
You can always open the library in exporer view and you'll see the Forms folder in there - that's where your library views and your ...

Hi - just so you know, the SubmitToSharePointList and the companion refresh command are only for use on the Main data source. That means you'd need to copy the SharePoint items into your form's main data source.
So, you could add a repeating group to your main data source and use the CopyTable to copy in the information from the 2DS. ...

Sure. The XPath filter looks like this:
[../my:field1 = 'sample' and ../my:field2 < 0]
Replacing my placeholders with your field names and values, of course.

I know I keep asking the same thing - but what is your repeating section bound to? Projects? Or Project Status? If Projects, you'll need to use expression boxes (calculated values in IP 2010) to display the item you want from the project status data source. Do feel free to attach a copy of your template to the Options tab and I can try to help ...

For the condition for the validation, select your secondary data source field first. When you select the field, at the bottom of that dialog, where it displays what you've selected, there is actually a very hard to notice drop down. You can change that to "Any occurrance of" the field you are selecting.

InfoPath 2003 shipped with a large number of sample templates. IP 2007 shipped with a few, but quite a few less. I don't believe IP 2010 installs with any sample forms.
I have IP 2007 installed on a machine, and I grabbed two of the samples it installs with for you and zipped them up. Download the zip file. Extract the files. Right click one ...

I think Anson's suggestion is for browser forms - I'm not sure if your question is about browser forms, however.
I think for a Filler form, this will have to do with the save and submit options. If your form allows submit but not save, I think the first behavior you've described would be in effect. If it does not have a submit ...

I'm happy to hear that you've made progress - and thanks for updating the thread so that other can learn from it.
