• Re: Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains)

Hey Mike. Welcome to the forum. I would love to be involved in such a project. I have thought about this before that InfoPath could be an additional UI to Dynamics data but have not had an opportunity. With webservices and the right Architecture I believe you could have a seemless integration. You could both query and submit data to SQL. ...

  • Re: Copy rules from one form to another

Hey Ed. There is not a way to do this within the InfoPath UI as you have seen. You could export your source files, and in your manifest.xsf cut and paste between the two, but obviously this can be problematic making sure your syntax is the same, etc. Depending on how many rules it might might be worth it and it might not. You can paste ...

  • Re: Repeating Questions based on Entered Info into a Text Box

Welcome Erik. Is this data going to a data base or just staying in the form? You would need a field for each question in your repeating node. Then the user would insert a new section or repeating table for each server until they had cover all of them. Same result but a slightly different way to get there. Have them insert each ...

  • Re: 2 data bases - read and write multiple records.

Are these seperate databases or seperate tables? Witht he default Database type form in InfoPath you would want to build it from scratch around B or what you wanted to submit to. Then you could use other tabels as secondary data connections to recieve data and then put that into your B structure and submit. You very likely need web ...

  • Re: I need a submit date that doesn't change.

You just need to add a field to your form which saves the original file name. Have a rule on open which if filename is blank, sets is to your concat (addedtotable, ID). Then in your SP submit use this field as the file name. On subsequent opens since it has a value the file name will not change. On your exisitng forms you will need ...

  • Re: Working with Infopath, SQL and Outlook.

No Problema. It looks like you have not published the form template. You need a network share or webserver where you can publish the form that everyone has acess to. Or you can publish for email which means the template is included in the email. All InfoPath created XML retain a link to the template so that they can render the data. I ...

  • Re: radio buttons in a repeating section

You would need to do your own validation in order to ensure that only one repeating node was selected. The easiest way is to have them pick with a dropdown since it only allows one selection. You can bind a radio control to a flag field in your data however you would have to monitor the selections and prompt users if they tried to select more ...

  • Re: SP List Randomness Posting from Form

Welcome. So you are updating a SP list not a Document Library. Have you reviewed some of the methods here? If you search on CAML you can find some posts. I have not done this in code. I would look at the source data, although I guess you have said that just changing the title allows it to work. Strange. Hopefully someone else will ...

  • Re: Infopath 2003 won't Save Any Data

Where is the intended save location? Do you have a submit data connection for this location? Which saves the file with a unique file name to this place? All data in your Main Data Source will be saved. The default save should probably not be used since it does not control where the user saves the XML file. This can be turned on and ...

  • Re: SQL Question(Group By)

Hey Steve. If SQL query works in SQL then it should work anywhere. You have three fields in your select but only one is a sum. For Group By to work you can only have one field that is not summed or have a function to it and you must group on that field.
